Every Helping Hand Starts with a Conversation
You don't need to have everything figured out before reaching out.
Whether you're caring for a parent, juggling work and family, recovering from an illness, or simply wishing there were a few more hours in the day, you're in the right place.
These are the questions people ask most often before booking their Welcome Visit. Hopefully they'll answer a few of yours too.
And if not?
The kettle's always on. Let's have a conversation.
Your Questions Answered
Who hires Your Third Arm?
- Seniors
- Adult children helping parents
- Busy professionals
- Recovering from illness or injury
- Overwhelmed households
What happens during the Welcome Visit?
The Welcome Visit is our chance to meet, talk about your needs, and see how Your Third Arm can best support you. There is no pressure and no obligation. Together we'll discuss priorities, routines, and how I can help make life a little easier.
What if I’m not sure what I need help with yet?
That's completely normal. Many clients begin with a general feeling of being overwhelmed rather than a specific task list. During our conversation, we'll identify where support would make the biggest difference and create a plan that feels comfortable for you.
How does your professional shopping service work?
Simply provide your shopping list and preferences, and I'll take care of the rest. Services can include grocery shopping, specialty purchases, gift shopping, returns, and other personal errands.
Do you provide personal assistant services outside of Bowden?
Yes. I proudly serve Bowden, Innisfail, Olds, Penhold, Didsbury, Red Deer, Sylvan Lake, Sundre, and surrounding Central Alberta communities.
How much notice do you need for a booking?
Whenever possible, a few days' notice is appreciated. However, I understand that life happens and will do my best to accommodate urgent requests when my schedule allows.
Is there a long-term contract?
No. Services are flexible and can be booked as needed. Some clients use Your Third Arm occasionally, while others prefer ongoing support.
What if I need an "last minute help" in Sylvan Lake?
Contact me directly. While same-day availability cannot be guaranteed, I will always try to help when possible or suggest an alternative solution.
Do I need to be there while you work?
Not always. Some services can be completed independently once arrangements have been made. Others may require your involvement. We'll discuss what works best for your situation.
What areas do you serve?
Services are available throughout Central Alberta, including Bowden, Innisfail, Olds, Penhold, Didsbury, Red Deer, Sylvan Lake, Sundre, and nearby communities.
Can I book a "Third Arm" for a full day of home organization?
Absolutely. Many clients book extended sessions for decluttering, paperwork organization, room resets, and larger household projects.
Is my information kept private?
Yes. Respect, discretion, and confidentiality are central to everything I do. Your personal information and circumstances are never shared without your permission.
Travel & Logistics
The first 60 km of round-trip travel from Bowden is included with every booking. Additional travel may be subject to a modest surcharge depending on location.
Service Areas
In addition to our primary Central Alberta circle, I offer Specialized Support Trips to Calgary and Edmonton. Whether you need a steady presence for a day of medical appointments in the city, a reliable hand for specialized shopping, or a comfortable, assisted transition to and from the airport, I am available for extended-distance tasks.
Because these trips involve significant time and travel, they are quoted at a custom day-rate or with a specific regional service fee. Let’s chat about your specific needs, and I’ll provide a clear, all-inclusive estimate so you can focus on the trip, not the logistics.
Is Your Third Arm a registered agency in Central Alberta?
Yes. Your Third Arm is a professional service business proudly serving Central Alberta with reliable, compassionate support tailored to individual needs.
